Happy (Alp-y) April!

This just in from my hometown of Bad Reichenhall, Germany:  snow in April for Easter!

Before any butchering of the pronunciation commences, please copy and paste the city name into Google Translate and take a listen (it’s really not a “Bad” as it appears!)  : )

As I sat on the 80*+ patio and received these pictures, I realized how fortunate I am to be sweltering rather than shoveling!  Beautiful photos, and they definitely make me long for long hikes through the mountains, the crisp forest air, the beauty of the magnificent & towering “Schlafende Hexe” (the mountain pictured), and the people who are dear to me who live there.  It’d definitely be difficult to find an easter egg in that snow!

Happy Easter =:”)

In lieu of painted easter eggs…. my kite (Happy Easter nonetheless!)

The ‘Chids

Finally “broke down” and had to get an orchid of my very own for the balcony  : )  The fuchsia-colored one was the one I originally chose,  and the little white one was an adoption.  Here are my 2 ‘chids, as captured by my camera phone:

Kris… Rocks!

So glad this woman also entered my life a few years ago…  what a trip it has been!

World, Kristin..  Kristin, World:

This girl has shown me strength, courage and willpower like none other.  Having the most down-to-earth personality that I can find amongst my friends, she is always wonderful company!  We’ve shared quite a few exciting experiences over the course of our friendship – from transforming into peacocks for halloween to taking our first (but not last) skydiving trip, sharin’ a hookah, and letting me have my way with her as a model, putting her in rather odd and precarious spots (and she really does go “out on a limb” for this – haha..!), all in my attempt to learn more about photographing the human figure, we’ve definitely had a lot of fun, with lots more to come.  Above, one of the pictures from our first shoot – she allowed me to paint her hair to pop for the shoot, as she had the “om” symbol cut into it.  Below a close-up of the finished product, and under that is her newest design.  : )    Kris most definitely rocks!

Where there is a dog in the pool…

..surely there is a cat on the screen (shananigans at my brother’s house lol) :

Hangin’ ’round

Mt Dora, FL – Spanish moss hangin on a big ol tree : )

LBC

The beautiful weather here reminds me of the time I spent in Long Beach, California, a couple years back.

Double Trouble!

While contemplating a double major in Accounting and Finance at UCF, it makes my head spin a tad bit..  but hey, I have the ability, means, time, and support to “Bea” all I can;  here goes.

My advice to anyone who has ever wanted to pursue something they think they cannot: go for it.  Once you make up your mind that you truly want something, the right people will begin popping into your world who will share your vision, goal, and give you support and inspiration along your way.

A little perspective

Look up, look down, look all-around…  but keep your eyes on what’s most important.

Pic 1 was in Vegas at a Chihuly exhibit, the 2nd at my friend’s former Bronx apartment, the 3rd is San Fran, the 4th crossed my path on Facebook, and the heart was art from a museum also in SF : )

Spotted!: Summer’s comin….. : D
