Spotted!: Falling into FLA

Ok, so it has been a minute (or 2…) since my last post, apologies for the mia status : ) It will be this way for another bit – at least until school is over for this semester.

Meanwhile, skydive no. 2 took place last weekend at Skydive Palatka, and it was even more of a blast than the first time (although the two should really not be compared). I was fortunate in many ways, as I was able to go with my good friend Kristin again, and this time my other half joined too. Jumping with friends is really the most best! After our minute-long free fall, during which my attention was promptly directed to the horizon, we 3 (6, including our tandems) all met up mid-air again for the chute down. It was nothing short of amazing, and I didn’t realize just how wide the smile on my face was. Below, Kristin & Cathy on their mean machines… because let’s face it, girls just wanna have fun.

So my good friend Melanie does this really awesome thing with her art. She first began doodling around with some images and has most recently mushroomed into her very own card business on Etsy.com. Now alongside her job, she is doing something she really enjoys : ) Very excited for her, and it couldn’t have happened to a better person! I got one of her very first originals in the mail for my birthday, and loved it.. then was randomly surprised with another when she created the official ones! I would love to share her talent with everyone:We have such fun when we hang out, as evidenced by the image of us in this post (this was us celebrating her birthday, 8o’s style!), and I’m very fortunate to be able to call her a good friend. On Second Glance

So often it is easy to see things from one perspective: our own.

From a different angle, we unveil a whole new aspect; Bo has no idea he has complete heterochromia, he can only see the world in the way he was given: through his own eyes. As a more aware observer, the world should be viewed in more than one aspect than simply our own, and we should always embrace (even if we do not necessarily accept) a different perspective.

PS: my computer is down for the count; as I look into a new one, I will post more once I have it.. Hopefully by week’s end I will be back up and running (can’t wait!) Thanks for your patience, sorry for the absence : )
